Some common eye problems in children include amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus and nasolacrimal duct obstruction (the watery eye).<\/p><p>Early detection is the key to successful treatment, which is why frequent eye tests for children are so important. Initial appointments for children can take 60-90 minutes. You can find more information about some common eye conditions in children below.<\/p><p>Amblyopia often known as \u2018lazy eye\u2019, is an early childhood eye disorder where the child\u2019s vision does not develop properly. It usually occurs in one eye, but it can occur in both.
