Dr. Tsianda Elisabeth is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, at King’s College Hospital London and has specialized in Retinal Pathology (Macula, Diabetic Retinopathy, Vein Occlusion, Genetic Diseases) and also in Cataract Removal Surgery.

  • She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2001 and since then for over 20 years she has been involved in Ophthalmology.
  • She started her residency in the UK from 2005 to 2007 at Royal Liverpool and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
  • She successfully completed the series of examinations of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of the United Kingdom (London) where he obtained the title of MRCOphth Scholar.
  • She was a resident doctor at the Children’s Hospitals of Penteli (Pediatric Ophthalmology) from 2003-2004 and General Hospital Gennimatas A’ University Ophthalmology (departments of Retina, Oculoplasty, Glaucoma, Strabismus and Cataract) from 2007-2010.
  • She continued in the UK and specifically at Moorfields Eye Hospital where she worked as a fellow (scholar) for 5 consecutive years in the Department of Retina and collaborated with leading professors in Retinal Pathology (Tufail, Sivaprasad, Michaelidis, Webster) and Ocular Inflammation (Pavesio, Lightman).
  • Since 2017 she holds the position of Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital in London. She is in charge of the Department of Intravitreal Injections and Diabetic Retinopathy, as well as of the Department of Grading (disease severity).
  • She has contributed to the training of new ophthalmologists and specialized ophthalmic nurses with great success.
  • The doctor has performed a large number of cataract surgeries with specialized intraocular lenses, as well as laser treatments.
  • She holds a Fellowship from the International Council of Ophthalmology and is a member of the European Society of Retina (EURETINA), the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), the Hellenic Society of Vitreous – Retina and the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society.
  • She is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is involved in research projects at King’s College Hospital. Her scientific work includes presentations in international and domestic conferences, as well as publications in recognized scientific journals.
